What Is The Difference Between Digital And Film Photography? | All About Money Online

Well, basically film is shot with film, and has been undergoing advances/changes for 100 years or so. Digital, is light processed electronically from a sensor, and recorded onto a recordable media. Digital is only about 15 years old (commercially), and is still a developing media. edit:: I took film courses a long time ago, but didnt follow up on photography until about 6-7 years ago.

I prefer digital, at this time in my life. The almost instant ability to view a photo, see what worked, what didnt, is a valuable learning resource. I dont need to do slides, high end prints, or anythng of the sort. My photography is for me, to have fun with. Digital lets me do things that film doesnt. Not even including edittng after the shot.
