Well in my opinion, computers have helped us in many many ways, more ways than we can even imagine. With the use of computers, we are able to communicate with anyone all over the world (who has internet access), it has also improved our knowledge via Internet. It is also easier to write documents up, now with the use of computers, we don’t need a Pen, it’s just a simple press of a few buttons for a word! It’s also easier to send things over to people (e.g. Pictures, Videos). With the help of computers, many new inventions have risen, like the introduction of Robots, Palm Computers, Modern Phones, GPS navigation and other more advanced products and appliances. Without computers, our world would be so much harder to cope with! Computers have made our lives just that one little but easier! Computers have also revolutionized our way of thinking and the way we research. With the phone company i am using at the moment, they have a choice to send the Bill via email instead of through Mail, which is highly convenient for frequent internet users. So yeah, Computers have improved our lives a lot, and will continue to improve and advance our lives until the end of time!! Or until we run out of electricity.. bla bla bla. But with everyone on, including criminals, pedophiles and other unwanted people, children and other young people may be at risk! There are also some risks of children getting an addiction to computer games or other applications, and this may lead to them having a bad health, without exercise. In one case, a young male in Japan was on his computer for 5 days straight without food (just some liquids). This shows that computers CAN have a bad impact on our lives, but if controlled, computers REALLY are a good thing! With the choice of thousand and thousand of computers at different prices, why not get one, if you don’t already have one! Hope i helped with your question,

Computers have made it easier for us to access a wealth of information and have all but rendered printer encyclopedias obsolete. They have also made it easier and cheaper to advertise our business anywhere we wish and do business with anyone anywhere in the world. On the downside however, computers have also made it easier for sexual predators to find victims, for criminals to steal our hard-earned money, and to even steal our identity, something nearly unheard of just a few decades ago. Also, children are more likely to sit in front of a computer and chat when they could just as easily speak with their friends on a telephone or go outside and play like children used to before the “computer revolution”.
As with any new technology, there are good and bad points, but in the end the general public through their actions will determine whether or not computers have actually improved our lives.

My life personally .. People can read my documents far better printed/emailed than by hand written. I can search the internet for an answer to almost any problem. I can contact people free of charge by email, msn etc My PC can provide me with entertainment Works PC’s enable me to do my job better My PC allows me to do online banking and therefore reducing the amount of times I need to visit a bank/company and at the same time saving the environment as I’m not using petrol.
The list goes on…

For example in accountancy, before computers we could write the accounts out, now we use excel. Another would be, instead of going into a shop, you buy online.
