  1. Can you be more specific about which mac you have? Is it a laptop or desktop? What OS is it running? Is your mouse single button or dual-button with a scroll ball? Does your machine have built-in bluetooth?
If your Mac is about five years old then just about any USB mouse will work with it (although some of the high-end PC gaming mice may not have Apple drivers) and if your Mac is running OS 10.5 and has a bluetooth receiver then it should be able to use the new Magic Mouse as well, but to be certain I need to know the answers to the questions above.

  2. The new Apple Magic Mouse will work on bluetooth enabled Mac that have Snow Leopard installed. There is also an update to the mouse software to have it work. So if you have Mac OS 10.6.2 installed, yes it will work.
