DOS – disk operating system, a small derivation of UNIX which is a NOS a network operating system for use by mutiple users/computers.
ha. ha…
DOS can find hostname, nslookup, and set variables with netsh. That’s all I know of off hand.
By virtue of the operating system DOS is a PC (personal computer) operating system. Even windows for workgroups ran under the DOS command.com shell interpreter, but was run under i believe EMM.386 memory manager and accomodated some networking. Via under the win.exe shell.
see i.e.http://www.computerhope.com/msdos.htm#02
for DOS command help/info.
Hope that helps.
Go Linux open source

Why would you need to know that, school doesn’t require you learn things like that, to do that at school you will be breaking there terms of policy. It’s best not to do anything like that at school mate, i did it at college and sent a message to every user on the network. I got into quite a bit of trouble hehe, the only reason why i wasn’t banned for a week is because im on an ict course, so that would have been like stopping me from learning.
