I’m considering in getting a laptop and would have one laptop and one computer in my house.
I was wondering if the more computers/laptops there are the slower the internet connnection is?

in general, yes. but with two computers you will only notice a difference if one of them is downloading a large file such as a movie!

Yes, as all computers are sharing the bandwidth you get from your internet service provider. Unless it’s a dial up at 56k, you probably won’t notice with just 2 computers. It will work fine.

What you say is very true, but this also dependent upon the server you are connecting that transmits the data to your computer, too. Two computer will not be a big concern at all with high speed Internet connection. You may experience some short slower transmission, but in general, the speed won’t be too bad.

Yeah i have 2 computre and a laptop, my dad uses the computer, we have a VOiP phone i use my laptop, it lags everything! Bandwidth is a big problem, contact ur ISP and ask him for a boost or more bandwidth.

Your Internet connection has a limited amount of bandwidth, so for each computer that is accessing the connection, the slower the connection is goign to seem. Depending on the type of connection that you have, though, 3 machines should not create that much of a slow down, you might see slow down if you were trying to watch or play streaming video or music or download things all at once, but for normal browsing, I wouldnt think it would be a problem.
