AnyDVD will let you copy it with any program. It renders the copy protection invisible so any copy program will work. AnyDVD isn’t free but you can get a free 21 day trial of it.

I personally use DVD FAB with DVD Shrink. Best to keep whole content while pretty clost to ZERO quality loss – so close you can’t even tell.
STEPS:
1) Rip with FAB to destination folder
2) SHRINK (if need be) with DVDShrink to new folder 4Gig
3) Delete original folder the 8Gig Rip and BURN 4Gig
