My parents are divorced blah blah who cares, but bottom line I need to be able to synch this thing to both computers depending on whose house I am currently residing in. I know it’s possible, I just can’t for the life of my figure out how.

‘Sync’ (short for synchronise) means make the iPod match EXACTLY what your iTunes has. If you sync to both computers, then every time you plug your iPod in at your mom’s, it will erase whatever you had on there from your dad’s, and vice versa. It’s a total pain. Is that what you want? You should ‘manually manage’ rather than sync. Plug in your iPod, open iTunes, and click ‘manually manage music and videos’ on the summary tab. Now iTunes won’t erase and download to your iPod automatically. You have to do it yourself.
